About Me

Hello, my name is Jeremy Rodriguez, and I am a Ph.D. history student at Fordham University, studying late medieval english political culture and memory.
I received a M.A. in History at the University of Central Florida in 2024 with my thesis on a contemporary perspective of rulership and masculinity under Henry VIII, and my B.A. in History from UCF as well in 2021 with my thesis on the fall of Cardinal Wolsey.
While in graduate school I taught high school for three school years. In my last year I was nominated as Orange County Public Schools Social Studies Teacher of the Year Award, taught AP, was the PLC lead for U.S. History, sat in the Faculty Advisory Committee, was an Athletic Representative and Assistant Bowling Coach, and assisted in writing standard-based assessments with the county over the summer in 2024. Leaving teaching to pursue my Ph.D. was an extremely difficult decision, but an important one for my future. I hope...no, will...return to teaching high school eventually. It is a rewarding job, though a lot of work!
At present, I am a Graduate Assistant at Fordham University. I am openly seeking research opportunities, possible part-time positions, book reviews, and more.
